Taiwan 2008
this is super super super outdated. i was taking my own sweet time to upload the truckload of photos (thanks to 小娘惹 and mobtv) and finally got done when we stepped into 2009.
boarding our flight at T3.
breakfast at the airport. (causing my tummy to growl as i type)
disney magic at T3.
after a slightly shaky flight we touched down to a super duper cold taiwan thanks to the sudden weather change. almost 10 to 11 degrees that night.
in the warmth of our TS hotel room.
nightlife at 西門町.
a piping hot bowl of yummylicious mee sua on a cold cold night - PERFECT!
getting our hands on some 當地小吃.
cold and hungry.
the next day!
taking the 捷運.
on our way to one of the malls, we see a fake subway. haha!
a smaller 新光三越.
stuffing ourselves.
walking to the next mall.
taiwan Takashimaya.
then we chanced upon the famous 鬍鬚張滷肉飯! how could i give it a miss?!
we were quite full from eating previously, but i just HAD to stuff some of those 滷肉飯 in my tummy.
anticipating...
TADAH!!! they were awesomely good!!! i still cant forget just how good it tastes. cant wait to get back to taiwan and stuff myself again.
next stop: 中山足球場!
for the V POWER concert!
the crowd was just insane! look! 10 times more people than our national day parade!
met up with joyce for the concert. many thanks to her for getting us our tickets!
excited many!
after an excruciating wait in the cold for 5 freaking hours, and more than 10,000 lousy performances (ok im exaggerating) we finally see who we wanted to see! last performance of the night somemore. sheesh.

after the concert, we head off to 士林夜市.
after a few hours we head back with all these!
the next day, we have 燒烤火鍋!
yummy like hell!
華西街at night. it was rather boring.

cheap thrills for the boy! :)
quite good actually, only missed 4 out of 30. hehe!
won himself a box of kiddy pens. LOL!

next morning, we head to the more 'atas' malls.
his - teriyaki chicken bento.
mine - saba fish set. the fish was fantastic! juicy and extremely fragrant.
we head to the biggest 新光三越 mitsukoshi.
a total of 4 freaking buildings in all.
check out my eskimo boots! hehe! in taiwan they're called 雪靴s! all the rage right now!

while we queued up for this famous 胡椒餅 i spotted 張智成 in the queue!
a special trip to somewhere with joyce the next day!

all crammed into a cargo lift like sardines.

another day passed.
korean for lunch.
roaming around 西門町 area and chanced upon this cool shopping area - Shinjuku Plaza. bumped into a few of the 黑澀會妹妹s here. didnt manage to get a pic though.
at cold stone creamery for dessert.
dinner. haha!
and it was off to 高雄 the next day!

our high speed rail tickets.
just like an airplane! service staff!
train waiting area is like an airport too.
we head to dream mall via the cutest shuttle bus.
biggest mall in kaohsiung.
rooftop sanrio ferris wheel.
that's ours! the glass cabin. heh heh heh.
scary huh! see through everywhere.
they provide cute plushies in every cabin!
i couldnt stop camwhoring with the plushy.

shopping streets of kaohsiung.
bought myself a pair of air force ones.
beautifully lit. the lights change pattern and colour all the time.
we walked our way to 愛河. a freaking half an hour walk!
we have a merlion, they have their mer-dragon.
erm... '愛之'船?

plonked ourselves down for a mini bowl of 旦旦面.
compare the size of the bowl to the size of the egg.
taking the high speed rail back to taipei.

super tiring day at 高雄.
and another day!
we visit 蛋蛋屋 again.
yummy desserts. esp my caramel pudding!
a very cute mug.
he just got raped. LOL!
homeward bound.
our luggage was gonna explode any moment. he had to sit on it before he could close the clasp.
granted entry to the premium lounge thanks to his citibank premiermiles card.
free food before we head home.
