In a fit of boredom I decided to archive this story here.

Warning: ITS GONNA BE WORDY.

As some of you already know, I am making my way home in 3 months time. And of course, my darling Juicy is coming along with me. What? You think Id leave her here?!?! Pffft. Anyway so apparently importing a dog into Singapore is NO JOKE. All the information processing like literally sucked the living daylights outta me. Felt like studying all over again. So to cut the long story short (although not very short), Juicy is supposed to have a valid rabies vaccination at least 4 months prior to getting into Sg, and then after that get a FAVN (aka Rabies blood test) and then after that have another rabies jab again after the test.

So the order goes:

1. Valid rabies jab at least 4 mths before

2. Blood test to test for rabies level

3. Rabies jab again at least 1 mth before

(and sometime in between when I get the blood test aka FAVN back, Im supposed to apply for her import license.)

So all along Juicy has had a valid rabies jab. Its supposed to be ongoing. No issue with that. But I havent had her microchipped yet becos I wanted to wait till a couple of months before heading home then microchip with my Sg address to save cost on changing of address.

Made an appt at the vet to get Juicy microchipped as well as have her blood sample taken for the FAVN test. So here comes the appearance of said angmoh - E. She picked up my call. And alerted me that becos my previous rabies vac cert does not have Juicy's microchip number, that does not count. I have to re-do a rabies vac for her WITH her microchip number filled in. I PANICKED. I have less than 3 mths to home. That rabies vac after her microchip will not be valid cos its not 4 months prior. And apparently according to E, they cannot just "fill in" her microchip number into the previous rabies vac cert. "ITS ILLEGAL." Ok lor, lets not do illegal stuff then.

I decided to call AVA to find out what are my options. By then I was alr freaking out and on the verge of tears cos I was so scared Juicy get imported to Sg. So then my SAVIOUR - J is the person Im liasing with in AVA. J gave me the most awesome solution - get the vet clinic to write an official letter stating that the previous rabies vac is for the same dog that is microchipped. EASY PEASY! Mother happy already!

So the next day was my appt at the vet. Reached the clinic and E was at the counter. So I told her about what AVA said. GUESS WHAT SHE SAID.

"Im sorry we cant do that. It will implicate the clinic. If the dog doesnt get imported into Singapore for that reason, it will be our fault."

WHUTTTTT????? Im not asking you to LET MY DOG INTO SINGAPORE. Merely asking you to get me a letter stating the previous rabies vac is for the same dog. VERY DIFFICULT MEH???? Its the truth correct?????!!!!!!!!! IM JUST ASKING YOU TO STATE THE TRUTH, HELLO. So I continued to explain (while mentally strangling her across the counter) that it is AVA that will allow/disallow the dog into Sg. And they said its ok as long as I have that letter. And then she goes on to say...

"Im sorry we have to follow USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture) guidelines. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY SINGAPORE AVA WILL MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR ONE DOG."

HELLO YOU STUPID BITCH. WHETHER OR NOT THEY MAKE AN EXCEPTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU RIGHT?!?!?!?! YOU'RE JUST A FREAKING RECEPTIONIST. A NURSE AT MOST.

At this time I was literally about to stab her with the pen in my hand. REPEATEDLY. And FYI, USDA does not do anything BUT endorse the documents. They dont even bother if my paperwork and Juicy qualifies for the import guidelines or not.

Then after me refusing to accept no for an answer, E decides to make a call to USDA. Mind you, her whole conversation to that person on the other line sounded so condescending, like she just wanted to prove herself right, and that I should not be doing things this way, with all her "Yeah, I told her...right???" So in the end, conclusion that she got after her useless call to USDA...

"So yea...I guess what you could do is...get AVA to write a letter stating they need a letter from us."

WHUTDAFUQQQQQQQQQQQQQ!?!?!?!?!?!

"YOU WANT ME TO GET A LETTER TO GET A LETTER?!?!?!?!?!"

"yes."

"Ok fine. I will get AVA to write me a letter. Will a soft copy do?"

"NO WE NEED THE ORIGINAL."

"FOR A LETTER?!?!?! I still have to get them to mail it to me?!?!?!?!"

"Yes. You can give us a soft copy to prep the letter. But we will only release it to you once we get the original copy."

FUCKYOUVERYMUCH.

ITS JUST A FREAKING LETTER LEH HELLO. PREP SIMI SAI?!?!?!?!?!

Then she decides she hasnt given me enough shit for the day. She goes on to tell me...

"By the way, just to let you know. You need the FAVN (blood test) results for the import license, which has to be done 1 month prior to import."

"Yes I know that. How long does the blood test results take to come back?"

"I dont know. If they have alot of tests to do, it will take longer. If less tests it will be quicker."

*STUNNED SILENCE*

You mean after working here for so freaking long that you can make decisions about the letter and whatnot like that, YOU DONT KNOW?!?!?!?!?! And what kinda answer is that?!?!?!?!?! Dont tell me I also know!!!!!!!!!! So after more pressing and questioning, she finally gave me a time frame of 2 - 6 months. OH YAY. Halfway through solving problem#1, I now face problem#2. By then I literally gave up talking to this bitch. She obviously having some hormonal rage or early menopause of some sort. Or she just fucking wanna screw up somebody's day. I went home.

Still fuming mad from the visit to the vet clinic, I called J at AVA to get her to write that retarded letter for me. TURNS OUT, this is a very common case. J told me that alot of people do microchip their dogs later after their rabies vac. All they need is a letter from their vets. And apparently all the other owners vets have no problem getting a letter, EXCEPT MINE. J literally LAUGHED at the fact that I had to get a letter, to get a letter. SHEESH. "RIDICULOUS" was the word J used over and over again. Then I asked J if she knew how long usually the FAVN tests in USA will take. According to her knowledge, all the other owners she dealt with said it takes 4-6 weeks. 4 TO 6 FREAKING WEEKS!!!!!! HOW THE EFF IS THAT EVEN CLOSE TO 2 TO 6 MONTHS!!!!!!!

SO I AM SAFE TO SAY, ANGMOH BITCH IS OFFICIALLY A FUCKED UP MORONIC SORRY EXCUSE OF A HUMAN BEING/VET RECEPTIONIST/ANIMAL NURSE.

I DONT CARE IF IM BEING TOO HARSH. THERES NO SUCH THING CALLED TOO HARSH TO A PERSON THAT MADE ME GO THROUGH SO MUCH TROUBLE OVER SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED SO EASILY. SERIOUSLY, FUCKYOUVERYMUCH.

So now, Im waiting for that original copy letter to be mailed to me, so that I can bring that letter to her, and throw it in her face, whilst informing her how useless she is.

Finally back from a 2 weeks plus rollercoaster ride that is NEW YORK.

Its been so long since I really properly blogged about anything happening in my life. Hell, Ive been staying at my new house for a couple of months now and I havent even taken any pics. What have I been doing? Honestly I have absolutely no idea. *shrugs*

So finally Im gonna start my countdown back to home!!! 8 months to go. THIS IS GOOD. HOMEHOMEHOME. HELL YEAH. I wanna eat tabao food EVERYFUCIKIN'DAY. *double thumbs-up*

Just got back from a long weekend trip from LA & Vegas (again) last month. Honestly so tired of posting pics already. Post at FB good enough right? Doubt theres anyone reading my blog that isnt on my FB anyways. If there is, do a shout out and maybe I would start my picture posting again.

So its gonna be almost a year since I brought my overbite babygirl into my life. One of the best things that ever happened to me. Think I wouldve gone mad if not for her. Now she's like this clever little ball of fur (or lack thereof) that likes to climb into my bed in the middle of the night to snuggle. Super AWWWW... Anyways now Im immensely paranoid about her flight back to Sg in 8 months. She's gonna be super freaked out la! She's an awfully big scaredy cat who just jumps at any sudden noise. Even if I drop my hair clip on the floor she also can jump and flee. How the hell is she gonna survive almost 18 hours (minus transit time) in cargo all alone in a crate!!! *cries dramatically* Then after the long awful flight, she still gotta spend like 10 days in quarantine all alone again. OMG I CANNOT IMAGINE. How how how... I dont know how.

And if there's one thing I miss terribly, its THIS.

Dont know if its the hormones, but my life just got magnified before my eyes, 10000X larger. And its not a pretty sight. Im officially unhappy. Everyone out there looks at me and thinks I have a great life. Well newsflash people, try to dig a lil deeper. I try to ignore it and just live my life the way I want to, but it seems that no matter which direction I choose, there will always be someone/something to stand in my way. Im an emotional wreck right now. But Im also alone. Double the intensity. Nobody really cares about what I want. They usually care about what they want, or what they think I should want. But not what I want. I could unleash the crazy bitch inside of me and just go haywire, that way people may take me a little more seriously. But then again, who gives a shit about the crazy bitch. I would probably just self destruct in no time if I did that. Nobody likes to deal with crazy bitches, emotional wrecks and crying whiners. Everything needs to be sunshine. And I am supposedly all sunshine. Well guess what, the dark clouds came to town. And the weather forecast for the next couple of days to a week is dark clouds and thunderstorms. So it seems that it has become a norm for everyone to "share" presents. Someone's birthday comes up, and the same clique of friends just chip in money for 1 present for the birthday girl/boy. So here comes the question: Out of everyone who chips in money, how many of them actually care about the meaning behind it? Do you really put any thought into whether this present suits the receiver? Whatever happened to "its the thought that counts"?

A birthday present is not just about chipping in the money. If someone were to ask you, "Do you remember what you gave me last year?" or "Why did you decide to buy this?" Would you be able to answer? Honestly? How much of the present-choosing process were you involved in. It has become a situation whereby 1 person finally decides to bother, and then asks the rest "Is this okay?" and then they just agree, and then chip in. Or worse, some don't even bother to find out what the present is, and just go with "Tell me how much".

I am honestly getting sooooooo tired of this present-buying process, plainly because I am always the one who cares to bother, and bothers to care. Be it whether I am the one with the most time on my hands, or even when I am still working. I like buying/choosing presents for my friends because I like the thought behind the process. I like to think about what they would need/like, and then wrap it up nicely. I like see the looks on their faces when they unwrap it. I like to see the appreciation on their expressions. And it is through their expressions that I see my "Thankyou"s. But more often than not, this gesture of mine tends to be taken for granted alot. More often than not, I am always the first one to voice out "Hey, XXX's birthday is coming, what shall we buy? How about this this this?" And then it becomes "MY RESPONSIBILITY" to deliver.

Well you know what??? ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. I've had it.

Buying presents is not something you just have to get it over and done with. It takes efforts, thoughts and sincerity. If you think dumping that $10 or $20 means getting the job done, then save your money. I'd rather take credit for my own efforts thoughts and sincerity. Never once in my life have I ever chipped in money into a present without finding out what exactly the present is. And even more so for the presents I personally pick and choose for others. So I refuse to have others doing that for mine. If I am not important enough for you to even put the slightest bit of thought into my present, then don't chip in at all. Don't need an extra $10 just so I get a bigger present.

This is the last time I want to be a part of any insincere present-sharing.

There's really more to presents than just pressing a few buttons on the ATM or clicking your way around your iBanking.

From now on, I'm buying my own presents for the people I truly care for and love.

Havent really been blogging. Well, nothing much in my life worth blogging about now anyhoos. How sad is that. But I've been having thoughts abt 2 major posts. If it happens, it happens. We'll see... Not like anyone cares now. Hahaha.

Project TLC mailed out!!! I hope they bring a smile to the recipients' faces. They need it lots and I really wish I was in Sg for them. But even if I'm miles away, my hearts are still with them. Night #1 aka NEON Party - waited damn bloody long when we had a table + VIP. and then had a whole night of drinks without our mixers. and no ice. Zzz. luckily we didnt spoil the night for ourselves.

LOL! the other gate next to mine is ANA heading for Tokyo, while my SQ flight is heading for Seoul. wish i could jump off the flight and just go shop around before heading home. but nah~ home's where i wanna be right now. 3 whole weeks without dar and Juicy. i had a hard time saying goodbye earlier on. and the whole of yesterday was spent hugging Juicy and giving her lotsa love. i miss them lots already :(

its been winter wonderland here for the past few days! its so nice to pull open the curtains when u wake up to see a whole sea of white outside your window. so today me and dar decided to do abit of decorating. sprayed our windows with fake snowflakes, and put up a nice lighted moving deer on our lawn. the picture i have doesnt really do it justice. i'll post again when i have a better picture of it.

a week's countdown and im ditching winter wonderland for sunny humid sg weather. cant say its the best thing on earth, but being home definitely is! then its 3 whole weeks without Juicy and dar. it seems like this is the longest we're gonna be apart since we've been together. wow~~~ fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong with my flights. im gonna miss them sooooo badly :(

blogging hiatus again. Juicy has been occupying too much of my time, in a good and bad way. good cos i wont be complaining of boredom anymore. bad cos, well...i dont really have the peace and quiet to sit down and chiong my shows. she's sooooooo attention-needy!!! every few seconds i leave her alone, she will start clawing me, wanting my 100% attention. haha i think she's just like me.

and my biggest frustration - TOILET TRAINING. omg the stupid girl until now cannot learn to pee at the right spot. in fact, she has been peeing at all different random spots around the house for a week now. not once in the same spot. what kinda doggie is she. she pee-ed once on the correct spot (ie her pee pad) and i praised her. and left the pee pad with her pee on it so she knows she has to go back. but noooooooooo.....she goes to the pee pad, sniffs around, definitely smelt her own pee, and then goes off to another spot to trinkle off. WHY OH WHY!!!!!! i hate having to smack her and see her running off to hide, and then giving me her ke lian face. her ke lian face is the ultimate. and then i have to refrain from sayang-ing her. HOW YOU TELL ME!!!!!!! anyway, im hoping she learns in due time. if not we're gonna have a big problem.

so if you dont already know, i got myself the Shingles. sucks to be me right now. if you dont know what it is, here's abit of info.

Shingles is a viral infection of the nerve roots. It causes pain and often causes a rash on one side of the body, the left or right. Shingles occurs when the virus that causes chickenpox starts up again in your body. After you get better from chickenpox, the virus "sleeps" (is dormant) in your nerve roots. so yes. im have been in an awful lot of pain for 1.5 weeks and counting. the rash stings and burns like muthafucker. its damn terrible. so bad i lay in bed and just cried cos of the pain. previously when i burnt my arm on the oven grills i didnt even whimper. and now i just literally lay still and cried my eyes out. the rash is only a patch slightly bigger than a 50cent coin. but the pain is OMFG unbearable. like every few minutes, ive got hundreds of needles jabbing me. CAN DIE.

went to see the doctor for it already, and got medication. its recovering, slowly, but surely. the redness has subsided. now its just tiny blisters. sadly the pain is still there. sheesh. overcoming it bit by bit. doctor said that sometimes these rashes appear on the face (thank god mine didnt) and they might leave abit of scars. and the pain might linger. FML. i dont want the pain to linger. but now, i just wanna recover asap.

on a happier note, we are getting a doggieeeee!!!!! ok after our incident with Elvie, we are actually still a little apprehensive. i still have that lingering fear. but after much consideration, i think i should just get over my silly fear and move on. with all my time now i can look after the puppy properly and give it my 100% attention. the difficult part, is obviously transporting the doggie back after our 2-year stint here ends. lotsa hassle and $$$ involved. but i think by then, it'll be all worth it. im on my doggie-hunt now. been speaking with a couple of home breeders. will update when we successfully bring home my new companion! :)

found out there was Long John Silver's at Boise, so we went to give it a shot. ultimate disappointed. the fries were NORMAL fries. not the battered kind u find in sg. and prices were exorbitant.

the 2 fish and fries + medium drink cost us USD7+

headed to settle some hp issues with T Mobile and scrapped my prepaid line. its so nonsense. my minutes are wasted whenever it expires. so even if i didnt finish using them, they dont rollover. BAH!

caught a movie afterwards in the evening.

im sucha sucker for romantic comedies. LOL!

recently been having this massive urge to dance. i reckon its too much DDR on Wii. LOL! that, and watching too much 我愛黑澀棒棒堂. all the korean songs so damn good to dance to, so catchy! if i have the time (when i head back in nov/dec) i might just go attend a few open dance classes for fun. the problem though, is finding someone to go with me. go alone so loser la. haha! we'll see~

another tennis session today. problem is, i keep hitting the ball upwards and with too much force. think im too used to badminton, having difficulty getting used to tennis. still trying though. give me a few more sessions!

the date's tentatively set at 27 nov - 19 dec. most prob wont have much changes unless something last minute crops up. though i cant wait to go home for a visit, the thought of flying all the way to and fro alone is pure torture. previously my idaho -> taipei flight was already torturous enough. now its gonna be to and fro idaho -> singapore, with like 2 transits in between. *pouts*

and can i just lament again about how badly i need a haircut?!?!?! *pulls hair*

SERIOUSLY in desperate need of a haircut!!!

1. my hair is too long. everytime i wash my hair, it feels like im going through some weight-lifting routine. so heavy!
2. the hair-dropping is getting out of hand. im like shedding 24/7 all over my house its annoying.
3. initially didnt want to cut my hair shorter cos i want it long for the wedding. but i realise, i have another 2 years+ before the wedding. plenty of time for me to grow it out again.

HENCE. im gonna chop it off!!!!!

reached my hotel in Salt Lake this afternoon and saw an indoor pool view from the hotel lobby. so i whipped out my camera to take a picture. and to my wonderful 'surprise' i saw the words "NO CARD" flashing on my display screen. WELL DONE NIKKYCHAN. FORGET TO BRING MEMORY CARD. so gotta spend extra money on a new memory card, when i have like 3 of them back home.

so we went searching for a new memory card at Gateway. walked all over the mall and couldnt find it anywhere. was super pissed with myself for being such a klutz. then finally realised there was a Walmart near the hotel, so took a trip there to buy one. still felt like slapping myself cos its like spending 冤枉錢. money that can be well spent on other stuff.

got back to the hotel at night and wanted to insert the new memory card into the camera. TO MY UTMOST HORROR, THERE WAS MY MEMORY CARD, SITTING AT THE BOTTOM OF MY CAMERA POUCH!!!!!!!!!! NOW IM SUPER PISSED WITH MYSELF... RAWRRR!!!!!!!!!

another boise weekend :)

the weather here is becoming so hot. like 3 mins out in the sun i can literally feel my skin burn. its a totally different kinda "hot" from Singapore. back home its hot, but humid, so you sweat alot. but the sun isnt as strong as it is here. its not so humid here, so no sweating involved. but my goodness, this is the kinda sun that gives you skin cancer pls. the sun ray literally hurts your eyes. being outdoors without sunblock and sunglasses is a big NO-NO.

been doing alot of thinking recently. reminiscing to be exact. kinda feel that life has passed me by too quickly. and i realised, i aint the 21 year old girl i was 4 years ago. though id like to be. but i gotta admit at some point, that im not a little girl anymore. i hear wedding bells ringing every now and then. people i knew back in my poly and post-poly days, are getting hitched, one at a time. its kinda scary when you realised, time isnt gonna rewind back. whats gone is gone.

ive been wondering, have i really made the most out of my prime years. yes, i had my fun. those times you grabbed a random stranger in the club and kissed him for no rhyme nor reason, just cos you felt like it. those times you basked in the feeling of chasing and being chased. the times you can just basically do whatever you want, without worries and constraints and no responsiblity of any sort. i miss that feeling.

and then there were all the different guys that came and gone in my life. no matter how long or short the time, how good or bad, how many tears and heartbreaks they've put me through, and how many smiles and laughter we've shared, they kinda made me the girl i am today. and for that i thank all of you :) and i hope i left some footprints in your life too, that makes you smile a little when you think back about those times, those moments.

then there's this list of stuff i wish i could change about the past:
- i wish i got off my butt and took up some sort of CCA back in poly. wanted Dance, Song Composing or Magnum Force. and then i kept waiting and waiting around. and it never happened. and eventually i graduated, without a single CCA to my name.
- i wish i pursued something further in singing. i was looking for the easy way around. but i realised, there really isnt. all it took was determination.
- i seriously wish i took up my dad's offer of taking my uni studies overseas. part time uni = no uni life. i missed out on everything there was to be a university student, and i regret it till this very day.
- wanted to pick up acoustic guitar, and again, procrastinated.

a whole checklist of to-dos that just didnt happen. sigh~

adulthood and responsibilities are so not for me. i cant seem to handle them properly. they piss me off so badly.

i really really REALLY miss the yesteryears of 21.
if there was some Neverland out there, id be the first to sign up.

HIS: broiled lobster tail, steamed snow crab legs, butter garlic prawns, deep fried butterfly prawns, baked potato.
MINE: grilled lobster tail, (enormous) grilled scallops wrapped in bacon, grilled prawns, mashed potato, corn with peppers.

VERDICT: ULTIMATE YUMS!!!!! TOTALLY WORTH THE DAMAGE!!!!!
