halloween party tonight at zouk, and all hell breaks lose!!!! i mean that in a bad way. the time of the month decides to hit me at the TIME OF THE MONTH. well, i should be thankful it came after i got back from my ipoh trip. but still!!! and i was soooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to the bbq/swimming session at my home this coming sunday with the colleagues. looks like its gonna be a pretty uncomfortable session for me. lets hope the tap tightens a tad by the time sunday comes around. *sighs*

spent a considerable amount of time last night trying to straighten out my costume for voodoo night at zouk. the picture showed flowy sheer red skirting. mine was nothing near flowy. it was hard and crumpled to no end. i tried ironing and dipping the whole skirting in water. no use. rawr. it makes me look deranged. well, maybe thats the point. but i was thinking more of a subtle goth girly look, complete with bat wings. oh yeah, i suspect the bat wings were sewn on upside down. and i dont even know how to fix that. cos they dont look like wings now, they look like two pieces of extra cloth hanging from my shoulder blades. *rolls eyes*

i hope tonight wont suck. im giving up precious sleep to go to this party and still have to wake up at daybreak the next day and come to work. how sucky is that.

HAVE I MENTIONED HOW MUCH I HATE COMING TO WORK ON SATURDAYS?!?!?!

back from my mini ipoh trip. i was a nanny for 3 whole days to the little cousin monsters. totally having second thoughts about having kids when i get married. haha! they give a whole new meaning to the word "fun". they are so darn cute when they're quiet and calm. but whenever agitated they can turn into your worst nightmare.

i came back with an injured finger thanks to the teething 1 year old who decided to chew and yank on my finger at the same time. *whimpers*

afterwards a few of them left early while the rest of us decided to head to clarke quay for drinks. on our way there we chanced upon a partyworld at liang court and decided to ktv the night away. to my surprise, it was a brand new partyworld with a brand new look!!! it was a whole lot better compared to their fellow branches. doesnt look as sleazy and cheapo.

we were singing all the oldie songs from techno sammi cheng, to sandy lam, to julia peng and even *gasp* FANN WONG!!! hahaha ya super oldies. anyway we ended the night with THE GRASSHOPPERS!!! i lost my voice by half the night cos i was already nursing a sore throat, and i decided to kill myself further with amei songs. oh ya, not to mention, the resident ah lian was entertaining us with her hokkien songs. haha!

RAWR!!!

im totally not enjoying the aftermath of my cycling.

of course its not completely due to the cycling. friday i was having this nagging pain in the neck area. the right area felt really tight and it was causing a minor headache. saturday it decided to leave me alone for a while. so i went ahead to cycle with a bag slung over my right shoulder. halfway thru cycling my shoulder decided to scream killer. so i passed the bag over to dar and continued with cycling. then we played time crisis II in the arcade. a game which required me to hold up a plastic gun with my right arm for quite a while. (still quite heavy when held up long enough) then afterwards we decided to hunch over a kids table and painfully paint the mini sculpture (as seen in the pictures below) NICELY. mind you, it was dark and my hands were nowhere near stable. and i was trying oh so hard to not let the colours bleed into the next area. my hands were trembling near the end.

and to add to all this, ive been exposed to long term hunching over my computer at work. the computer is the kind that has the monitor embedded in the table. so kinda explains why im always hunched? grrrr.

so anyway i woke up on sunday, with this scary HUMP on my right neck/shoulder area. yes HUMP!!! made me feel like the lead character of hunchback of notre dame. NO NOT THE GYPSY GIRL!!! THE HUNCHBACK!!!!!! and it was aching like crazy. i couldnt turn my head. and it led to a horrible headache as well. i couldnt even lift my right arm properly at some point.

come monday and i was still in pain, so me took a day's mc.

come today, the pain is gone, and i can turn my head abit more with the help of some salonpas and cream the doc gave me. but the achy feeling is still there.

now, i feel like my head is too heavy for my neck.

was so tired last night that i didnt even have the energy to turn on the computer to do anything. didnt even want to watch my dvds, didnt want to do anything. just wanted to lie on my bed and sleep. so for the first time in a super duper long time, i went to bed at 9plus at night. shockers!!! and i fell asleep instantly. and because i went to sleep so goddamn early, i thought i'll be super freshly awake this morning.

APPARENTLY NOT!

i duno if its me or that my brain just refuses to give itself a break. no doubt i went to sleep super early, i was dreaming ALL THE WAY till daybreak. my active mind just refuses to rest! my alterego went on a super exciting adventure/rendesvous/escapade with someone. i woke up with three words runing through my mind - OH. MY. GOD. did i just fulfil my daytime desire in my dreams? i think i did. and it was oh so real. sigh...

so now, after a 9 hour sleep, im STILL tired. gosh. but at least work aint too boring today, so i dont have to wait for time to crawl.

caught Eagle Eye over the Hari Raya public holiday. watched it in Digital format at cine. Digital seriously DOES make a difference. the images were so pleasing to the eye. sharp with no disruptions. i love digital format films.

and can i rave about how AWESOME this film is!!!! one of the best films ive seen this year so far!!! definitely a heaven-and-earth difference when compared with shitfilm-babylon. everyone pleasepleaseplease get your lazy bum off the couch and catch Eagle Eye!!!!

a movie that gets you thinking... in a good way. who would've guessed the source of all the shit was actually... nah i wont spoil the ending. and part of the film was actually shot in the pentagon, THE ACTUAL PENTAGON. thats major!!! and i have to say, shia labeouf is kinda dishy in a geeky sorta way. heehee!
